As I started off down the steep narrow track called Glider, I felt the peaceful, warm breeze glide through my hair. I turned a sharp right over the edge of Glider and onto Summit Flight, the best track on the mountain, Mt Summit. As I stopped for my friend Sera to join me, I had to fall into the snow for 2 reasons. Number1 reason to stop, number 2 reason I had to touch the snow. Then a pink streak came down the mountain towards me. “Hey Sera, how do you like Pink Comet as a nickname?” I said as she fell down beside me. “Great. How about Blue Comet for you, Emily?” Sera asked me. “Yeah, race you down the mountain from here to the chairlift” I said getting up ready to go. “Ok, ready, set, go.” Cried Sera as we zoomed down the mountain on our brand new snowboards. As usual I won but Sera was two minuets behind me. “I love my new snowboard, it makes me go faster.” Cried Sera. “Sure does your faster then last time” I replied. As we took off our snowboard we showed them to each other. “I have a blue one of course,” I said. “I have a..” Sera started “A pink one,” I asked knowing the answer was yes. “Correct,” Sera said. Then we walked down to base to take some lessons. When we were told our groups I was told to take the extreme group and we headed down the backcountry trail. As we snowboarded down the mountain it started to rain. “Guys, we’re going to race down the mountain.” I called back to my group. As we reached base it started to snow .I took off my snowboard and raced to the car. I got in and Sera drove us down the mountain with 2 minuets left till the mountain closed. “Good time for a hot chocolate.” I said.
